LagosPhoto is the first and only international arts festival of photography in Nigeria. The festival presents photography as it is embodied in the exploration of historical and contemporary issues, the promotion of social programmes, and the reclamation and engagement of public spaces in showcasing contemporary photography. Lagos Photo Festival's goal is to bring the art of Photography to the general public in the city of Lagos. For the outdoor exhibition, the more platforms of display, the greater opportunity to achieve this goal. In 2012, cmDesign Atelier designed the outdoor exhibition using galvanized steel. This material provided us with increased flexibility in what could be achieved with the installations and also the opportunity of working with a material that could be sold or recycled after the event. The 'lego-fixation' / modular system provided us a variety of configurations/mutations that could be adapted specific to the individual sites. cmDesign Atelier worked with the Society of Architecture Students at the University of Lagos to install at the various sites around Lagos. The installations were in place from October to December 2012
