Luís Urbano is an architect, researcher and filmmaker and currently teaches at the Faculty of Architecture – Porto University where he completed his PhD in 2015. He graduated with a thesis on architecture and cinema and has a post-graduate degree from Coimbra University. Since his graduation in 1998 he has been lecturing at conferences and meetings, with a strong focus on the intersections between Architecture and Cinema. He has written many articles on this topic, as well as contributing to numerous books. Luís Urbano is the editor of “JACK” Journal of Architecture and Cinema and has directed the short films on architecture 'Sizígia' (2012), 'The house next door' (2012) and 'How to draw a house' (2014).
