The Bridge
Mobius Architecture - Ghana
Defying gravity, cantilevered spaces. The core energy of the building is to fashion a point of view where one can stand and see it all. Philosophically, it is the merger of geometries, light and volumes that exudes the genius loci without explicitly showing its inner workings.

Blurring Lines : Nima + Maamobi
Modula Grup - Ghana
The project questions the clogged watershed systems of the Nima Gutter which runs through the vibrant Nima and Maamobi informal districts, dividing the community with a physical boundary. Can this watershed be restored while incorporating existing socio-cultural activities and dynamic spatial transformation as acceptable ingredients for a design intervention?

Kigali Genocide Memorial - African Center for Peace
MASS Design Group - Rwanda
For the twentieth anniversary of the genocide, Aegis Trust, John McAslan + Partners, and MASS collaborated on a design for the new archives at the Kigali Genocide Memorial. The design features a testimonial space to record accounts of the genocide, but also provides spaces for reflection, education, exhibition, and learning.

Kasungu Maternity Waiting Village
MASS Design Group - Malawi
The maternity waiting village is a prototype strategy which offers a safe, comfortable, and dignified environment for expectant mothers. Taking its inspiration from Malawian vernacular, clustered units create a replicable “village” that features not only sufficient daylighting, ventilation, and hygienic conditions, but a set of familiar community spaces for women.

The proposal embraces the idea of a learning community, exploring the role of architecture in facilitating interaction and reflection through spatial diversity in learning environments.
