Samer EL Sayary - Egypt
This House is a contemporary version of the Iconic Islamic house (Bayet Al Suhaimy), that was built in Cairo in middle ages. This design was developed using cutting edge environmental simulation software, to balance eco-friendly design and contemporary living aspirations with a more culturally specific understanding of the Egyptian culture.

BRITAM Tower
GAPP Architects & Urban Designers / TRIAD JV - Kenya
BRITAM tower is a thirty storey 30,000sqm multi-tenanted development in Upper Hill, Nairobi. A 1200sqm square floor plate at ground level rotates through 45 degrees to exactly half at the penthouse. The glazed curtain wall is screened from solar radiation by a 'veil' of ceramic rods.

The new auditoria personify these principles in built form; the existing Brutalist monoliths connecting to previous institutions, the new expressing dynamic transformation and progress.

The Tizyane Community Design Project is located in the village of Tizyane in the Ourigane Commune in the Azzaden Valley of the Atlas Mountains, Morocco. It involves ecologically sensitive and culturally responsive design of a community bathhouse and women’s gathering space.

Concrete House

The architecture acts as an extension to the rocky hillside, with the occupants seemingly inhabiting a mountain face. The home is firmly rooted to the hillside through some impressive engineering, while also protruding out of the hillside as if it were shaped and morphed over time into its current condition.

Mamelodi POD
Architecture for a change - South Africa
The project entailed the design and construction of a small housing unit in the informal settlement Mamelodi, Pretoria, South-Africa. The design fills the gap between informal and formal housing. South Africa has 2700 informal settlements with millions of inhabitants living in substandard conditions.
