In this TED talk were made reflections on the metamorphoses of Housing in Angola, addressing the following aspects: – The evolution of Vernacular Housing in Angola from rural to urban areas – Identification of some common denominators in the typological diversity of housing in Angola – Questioning about recent solutions of Mass Housing, taking into account the cultural, climatic and economic aspects – The rural exodus and the creation of the informal suburbs – Socioeconomic Classification of the urban population of Luanda – Diagnosis and analysis of the spatial patterns, forms, symbols, habits and customs of the Bantu and Angolan housing (the fractals, the human scale, the extended family) – Proposals for solutions
