L’atelier est composé de trois blocs architecturaux en terres avec un enduit en terre rouge mélange d’huile de karité et de l’eau rendant les murs imperméables lors qu’il pleut.

Set within a vineyard on a historic Cape Dutch Farm in South Africa, Bosjes Chapel by Steyn Studio is a serene sculptural form that emulates surrounding mountain ranges. Constructed from a slim concrete cast shell, the roof supports itself as each undulation dramatically falls to meet the ground.

A dwelling for an artist - an innovative, experimental and colourful galvanized steel and glass structure on the rocky outcrop of Westcliff Ridge, Johannesburg. Inspiration was drawn from the rich history of Johannesburg (goldmines), origami paper folding techniques and unique site characteristics (pylons, a large oak tree and indigenous vegetation)

Designed for a retiring couple who wished to be elevated with nature and comprise of a single main bedroom, with living and kitchen amenities. They were comfortable with an open brief, however the budget was R1.5mil. DMV Architecture was appointed architect, project management and responsible to oversee all construction works.

Due to the close proximity of the neighboring stands, the aim was to take a totally unique approach to privacy. This was done by re-interpreting the use of I-beams with tubular steel cladding to create a floating screen around the house, turning the steel façade into a gravity-defying, sculptural adornment.

THE HADUWA APATA is a stage, communal space and attractor for the Haduwa Arts and Culture Institute, located at Ghana´s coast, 80km West of Accra. It is a giant bamboo dome with three open arches facing in different directions—a grid-shell consisting solely of bamboo, designed and built by [applied]ForeignAffairs.

Este empreendimento é constituído por três unidades edificáveis (Hotel, Centro Comercial e restaurante bar/panorâmico), emoldurada por uma praceta central com calçadões, mall comercial, miradouro servido por e um estacionamento periférico.

Carefully placed on site between the existing Acacia trees, Pavilion House attempts to be as much a part of its landscape as the rocky outcrops surrounding it. The design took a holistic approach, minimising the ecological footprint of the project from construction, to completion, & the rest of the house's lifespan.
