"Peace” could easily have found its origin between the Outeniqua Forest and the long open Atlantic Ocean, both of which are an integral part of this holiday home. An elegantly crafted box floats on top of tree tops towards the North and sensitively touches the sand dune on the South.

Our brief was to create spaces which soaks up the vast views, captures the serenity of the mountain forest, and to bring them in close contact with the “earth”. We were guided by the cross pollination between Western Modernism and Japanese Modernist influences as requested by the client.

This submission details the exploration of a single material, stainless steel. It tracks the route that The Matrix has traveled with this material in the last ten years: from the conceptualization, to the production of documentation and the realization of a variety of objects.

The Luanda Bay Waterfront seeks to protect and renew its urban pattern legitimized by its history and public use. With 510 000m² of new landfills, it generates a large urban park for the vitality of Luanda collective life that enables greater social interaction and boosts recreational and cultural activity.
