The PE Opera House presents a model for conservation architecture that integrates the best of its past, in harmony with a modern architectural narrative. Critically, the design showcases an appropriate balance between conservation and integration of contemporary architectural expression, arguably redefining the building beyond its previous heritage value.

The new Multi-Purpose community centre seeks to create a place of architectural dignity and a sense of place in the local community while at the same time establish a building which is contextually and socially relevant and one which offers local artists a platform for their work and future development

Bahir Dar University- Yibab campus staff lounge is designed to give a refreshing and panoramic spaces in the hot humid climate of the Bahir Dar city. The architecture has become an ensemble of a glass box; enveloped with adjustable wooden leaf; covered with an elevated and extended roof cover.

A home created where you are constantly aware of the beautiful mountains surrounding us. Our inspiration came from the intense appreciation for our local honest farm structures. "It is like living on a farm, our views are so carefully planned that we are not aware of anybody around us"

A secluded hideaway for our client to enjoy nature and their love for wildlife. This special place is hidden away on a saddle between two ‘klipkoppies’, overlooking the magnificent natural landscape of the area. The simplicity of being in nature.

"Peace” could easily have found its origin between the Outeniqua Forest and the long open Atlantic Ocean, both of which are an integral part of this holiday home. An elegantly crafted box floats on top of tree tops towards the North and sensitively touches the sand dune on the South.

Our brief was to create spaces which soaks up the vast views, captures the serenity of the mountain forest, and to bring them in close contact with the “earth”. We were guided by the cross pollination between Western Modernism and Japanese Modernist influences as requested by the client.

Sol Plaatje University, located in Kimberley in the Northern Cape is one of two new universities to be set up in post Apartheid South Africa. The university is designed as an urban campus integrated into the fabric of the town as a catalytic urban regeneration project.
