Located along a major highway of the city, the building consists of Chancery and Residence for the Equatorial Guinea Embassy. Its massing and spatial layout seeks to achieve simplicity. In addition, its minimal material selection enhances its modest appearance, rendering it elegant yet iconic.

The massing and space layout draws from dominantly used forms, circle and oval, of most African traditional architecture. In doing so, an elliptical form is employed to lend it a contemporary expression and house major functions. White pigmented textured concrete is used to give it a neutral and monolithic appearance.

The Umhkumbane Museum,is the first public cultural building in Cato Manor, which will support the contemporary Umkhumbane and Surroundings Areas to commemorate their Culture. Principles of regeneration and contemporary technology will assist the development in the co-creation of this urban community, complimenting the existing civic infrastructure and social housing development.

The aim of the facility is to provide the people of the village of Chimphamba with a place where primary healthcare services can be provided to a rural village.

The Multipurpose Hall is a combined assembly and dining hall providing room for 650 students. It accommodates a covered external auditorium, stage and a school kitchen with associated servery, dish collection, stores and manager’s office. Three curved steps create an amphitheatre that follows the gentle slope of the site.

The auditorium/amphitheatre 150-seater community hall in South-western Uganda has clay tile stepped seating and a small elevated platform illuminated by liters of light. Two adjacent rooms to the hall serve as storage and private meeting area. The front is a walkway covered by a pergola providing shade for informal gatherings.

An artisenal public architecture that exploit the landscape and try to help an economically affected community, where rituals define space and where education will rise through the act of making, experiencing, imitating and reconnecting to materiality.

Rapid urbanisation in Africa and the move to the cities has been at the expense of the urban social space, including residential neighbourhoods, often due to non-engagement with end-users. This book presents a method of engagement that evaluates and synthesises the preferences of urban dwellers with the planning specialist’s expertise.

Asiye eTafuleni figuratively means «Let’s negotiate» as a proactive invitation to urban decision makers to engage informal workers in critical dialogue about inclusive urban design. The Project is the process of inclusive design utilising participatory methodologies, exemplified by the case study of the redevelopment of the Bovine Head Cooks’ facility.
