Master Jury of the Africa Architecture Awards 2017
The role of the Master Jury is to evaluate all entry submissions to decide on the short-list, trophy winners and Grand Prix award. The Master Jury comprises seven members from across the continent. Chosen by the Steering Panel, they are as follows:

South Africa
Phill Mashabane obtained his degree in Architecture in Paris, France, and three years later enrolled and completed his LLB. In 1995 he co-founded Mashabane Rose Associates, a dynamic South African architectural and design studio. In 2012 he completed his studies in Alternative Dispute Resolution with the University of Pretoria. He is currently in the process of completing an Msc in Knowledge and Project Management at the University of Salford.

Tanzeem Razak is the director and founding partner of the practice Lemon Pebble Architects in Johannesburg, South Africa. She graduated from the University of Witwatersrand with a BArch and in 2004 graduated with an MArch (Cum Laude)in Human Settlements from the Katholieke Universiteit in Belgium. Razak is a passionate advocate for spatial transformation in South African cities and her focus is on design in areas of limited resources.

Anna Abengowe
Nigeria
Anna Abengowe is the founder of Worldwide Architecture, a full-service architecture and design firm presently pursuing projects in Morocco, New York and Nigeria. Abengowe was born in the UK, raised in Nigeria, and educated in the United States, where she received her Architecture degree at Princeton University. She is currently a consultant with the Build It Back Hurricane Sandy restoration project in New York City and resides in Harlem.
