Designed to accommodate two different entities within the World Bank Group, the offices reflect the culture of the global group within a local context. Environmental responses hinge around a courtyard typology, and layered facade systems which aid climate regulation through natural airflow's and sun control.

The Green Building The design and construction of The Green Building was an opportunity to create much needed infrastructure, while delivering ecological, social and economic benefit to the community that it serves.

The project is built on the artificially built Island on the Bank of the Blue Nile river in Baherdar. It comprises: A regional Parliament hall, a 12 Story council office, a Convention center with 11 meeting halls ranging from 50 seats to 2000 seats capacity.

HEALTHY LEARNINGS

The brief was to create a more contemporary, open-plan living area for the family, that re-established the flow of the house and improved the general aesthetic of the home, while also re-connecting the back garden to the house to create indoor/outdoor living, as well as for the children to enjoy.

A New Office Development known as 102 Rivonia. It is comprised of three primary elements; a 7 storey tower, with an active atrium space; a 13-storey office tower and a 5-storey link bridge connecting the two towers which allows for future flexibility.

AU dormitory is for the students from sub-saharan countries. It is located in a suburb of Kampala. Using the materials they can get locally, it is designed in the simple composition to make local builders understand easily, while they offer variety of spaces where many kinds of activities can happen.

The UBCC is a place whose context is understood from name. The Setswana idiom of “ina lebe seromo” is explored to discover the dialogue between colonial and Setswana. Historical references are made to serepudi, patlelo, sefalana and maropeng. The facility offers world class conferencing with high end technology.

Like the powerful ancient baobab tree –the center will welcomes people under its roof as a step forward for an African union, like the motto of Senegal “One People, One Goal, One Faith". The building is strong and modern; it is simple but functional and finds its expression in elegance.
