Malamulele Council Building strives to bridge formal programme, place-driven informal contextual identity through prominent civic space for the community. Boundaries between rational and organic, internal and external spaces are blurred in the exploration of new typology that celebrates biophilic interstitial spaces while responding to unique narratives of the place.

The project reconciles two diverse, almost conflicting programmes, through a layered design approach. The proposal reinstates and celebrates the high cultural value of an existing Public Craft Market while stimulating future economic and business growth in the city with a new Office Building located above

Designed for a retiring couple who wished to be elevated with nature and comprise of a single main bedroom, with living and kitchen amenities. They were comfortable with an open brief, however the budget was R1.5mil. DMV Architecture was appointed architect, project management and responsible to oversee all construction works.

Lamu Museum is a proposed project in Lamu Old Town. The projects is sustainable and uses local building materials found in Lamu Island. Moreover, it enhances conservation of artifacts and endangered marine life. Subsequently, it will attract tourists, scholars and reduce congestion during major cultural events.

The International Center of Conferences project is in line with the vision of the Urban Planning Plan and the Plan of Land Use Horizon 2025. It projects on a site of 1.70 hectares. Program : 31 175 m² consisting of: 18,175 m²-Buildings,13,000 m²-Underground car parks 6,500 m²-Roads and various networks.

Due to the close proximity of the neighboring stands, the aim was to take a totally unique approach to privacy. This was done by re-interpreting the use of I-beams with tubular steel cladding to create a floating screen around the house, turning the steel façade into a gravity-defying, sculptural adornment.

Ethiopian Vernacular Architecture is a proposal for the first Ethiopian pavilion at the Venice Biennale of Architecture, to take place in 2018. We intend to show Ethiopia’s heritage of indigenous architecture under a new lens and explore how it can be used and reinterpreted to combat climate change today.
