The design of the Nirvana Residences key words express general principles of the modern architecture like rationality, light, transparence. They merged into the african context with energy saving solutions based on optimisation of the natural lighthing, ventilation and the creation of a microclimate with pools, lush garden and pergola terrace.

This exhibition design project involved the partial recuperation of an historic building, the interior architecture & exhibition design. Interventions into the existing built fabric were minimal, and are read as “insertions” within this historic shell. The design bridges the gap between conservation and innovation, between the old and the new.

Architecture of Crisis is an imaginative yet realistic response to the water crisis Windhoek faces. The intervention proposes practical solutions for the worst times of the crisis, and responds to contemporary urban issues around this scarce resource by integrating into the cities social and infrastructural fabric.

This project re-imagines Lagos in a near-distant future by juxtaposing sites of much coveted real-estate with colossal vertical settlements rendered in the language of the settlements that exist at the city’s peripheries. It’s a conversation on how slums are viewed as unsightly eyesores to be bull-dozed,leaving their inhabitants completely displaced.

Out of the box is a project initiated to develop and facilitate community based, cultured and interactive playgrounds for children and communities in Addis Ababa to promote active community engagement whilst promoting the importance of play, cultural dialogue and exchange while ensuring that every child has the opportunity to play.

The existing Catholic Chapel along the coastline in Souillac, also a retreat center, is about fifty years old. The chapel’s inability to accommodate a rising number of participants, has prompted an extension on first floor, which will also aid in rehabilitating the existing structure, slowly corroded by the sea environment.

Located in Accra, Advantage Place is a landmark office block for the oldest insurance company in Ghana. Conceived as a climate sensitive modern office building, it represents a critical view of the glass block typology, with a sculpted form, evocative of vernacular art and architecture in Ghana.

The new AML Corporate Offices is a winning competition entry and the first LEED certified building in Mauritius. Sustainable parameters such as sun & wind orientation and building forms have been integrated in early stages of the design to achieve first and foremost a passive sustainability.
