For 5 days in June 2016 Johannesburg's inner city experienced a unique and collaborative coming together of architectural practitioners, students, interested parties and the public in a celebration of and conversation around, architecture and urbanism in Africa.

7 prominent African architects join us during ArchiWeek in Maboneng, Johannesburg from the 22rd of June to the 26th of June 2016 to discuss African Architecture and to draw up the criteria and categories for Africa’s first comprehensive architecture awards program.

Kate Otten Architects won the ADOPT category in the inaugural awards in 2015. The Saint-Gobain Foundation will be working with Adopt-a-School to build an upgrade for the Motshegafadiwa School, Hammanskraal as per the winning submission.
