This retirement home in is on a shared site with the oldest house in the historic neighbourhood of Brooklyn. Set to the back of the site, a courtyard layout was chosen for privacy and security. Simple forms and materials respect the historic context whilst still affirming its own character.

LagosPhoto is the first and only international arts festival of photography in Nigeria. The building seeks to create a new form of space by integrating public spaces with work spaces. The row cubicles of office workers synonymous with the Victoria Island business district integrates with green recreation spaces synonymous with relaxation and air quality. Providing an environment that enhances job performance.

The major intervention involved extending the existing villa to houses the consular section. The new façade reflects Switzerland’s strength and diversity and the raw concrete echoes Abidjan’s magnificent modernist architectural heritage. The counter wall evokes also the two countries by juxtaposing strips of Ivorian wood with mirrors reflecting the garden.

The Ultra Modern Rock city shopping Mall is One of the Largest Mall in the East African Region. The four Level mall houses state of the art cinema halls, Anchor tenant, Large and medium shops as well as food courts. The Mall has extensive surface parking and Ground parking too.

With the influx of people from rural to urban areas in Africa and the demand on infrastructures, most cities are becoming populated with informal settlements. Rather than forced eviction and demolition adopted by the government, Ijora-Badia home centre creates a new concept of dealing with urbanisation in Africa.
